Installation Issues

Post by adetia » Fri Apr 20, 2012 12:54 am

One of my guild members has a dual boot system with 64 bit and 32 bit.
64bit, GINA installed great and is running perfectly.

32 bit side is Windows Ultimate 7.
32 bit side, it crashes and gives the "has stopped working, checking for a solution blahblah".
I checked and he has .net 3.5 installed and active, he also has the 4.0 client installed.

(I have the ability remotely connect into his machine).

Any ideas on what I can try next to get his 32 bit up and running?
Or, any further information I can give you to assist?

Do you see any errors in the Application log in Window's Event Viewer?

Also, is a GINACrash.log file being generated in the following location: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\GimaSoft\GINA ?

Awesome. That was enough of a pointer to get us going.
We were able to repair and get it up and going.

i did out the person Adetia reference
By checking the Stuff you ask....

checking the Ginagrash.log File help......
in that Folder did have a file with a BAD extension......
My guess was a corrupt Config file........( config and bad file have same day and time )....

i also check the Events of Window..... 2 Error when try to install....
those related to Kernel.DLL.......

But the way to fix it...
Was uninstall Gina
and after go to the folder %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\GimaSoft\GINA
and delete everthing left in there.....
and REINSTALL Gina....
That make the TRICK

Thx for a VERY Good Program......
